I'm a human rights scholar focusing on sexual and reproductive rights research. I currently work at the Office of the Estonian Chancellor of Justice (also serving as an NHRI) where I lead the human rights work of the Chancellor - from international reporting to human rights education and research initiatives.
Although trained in law, my work regularly wanders to other disciplines: from anthropology & sociology to public health & design. Whatever I do, I always try to be a bit of a troublemaker and not limit myself to "traditional ways of doing".
My teaching and research communication have a strong visual component.
Currently I'm interested in researching:
-
obstetric violence,
-
sexual & reproductive rights in places of detention,
-
sexual & reproductive rights and transitional justice,
-
the role of health care professionals in human rights protection,
-
sexual & reproductive rights in disability rights narratives.

I'm available for consultancies, workshop design, speaking engagements, conference collaborations & research supervision.
